Representing and Supporting the Real Estate Operators Industry
Founded in 1935, the Fédération des Sociétés Immobilières et Foncières (FSIF) became in 2022 the Fédération des Entreprises Immobilières (FEI). It brings together real estate operators who build or renovate, lease, and market a wide range of properties such as offices, retail spaces, hotels, logistics warehouses, housing, and managed residences in France and abroad.
While commercial real estate assets remain predominant, the share of residential properties continues to grow. Today, real estate companies build and manage segments of urban environments—places for living and social interaction—with increasing diversification into healthcare, culture, and leisure.
Our members were among the first to embrace the need for environmental responsibility, and all of their new constructions meet environmental certification standards. Our industry is one of the leading issuers of green bonds in France, with €42,7 billion in outstanding bonds.
The FEI is composed of:
Our committees and working groups enable our members to anticipate and deepen their understanding of strategic issues for our industry. They also promote the sharing of experiences. Through our analyses and insights, we contribute to the debate on building the city of tomorrow—innovative, sustainable, and designed to serve its citizens.
As a professional organization, we represent our members before public authorities, economic and social bodies, regulators, and market authorities, and we take part in shaping the regulations of our industry. We also collaborate with French and international real estate associations.
Elected by our board of directors for three years, our executive office is responsible for preparing decisions and examining files that will be presented, discussed and approved by the board of directors.
The FEI is governed by a Board of Directors elected for three years by the Annual General Meeting: it prepares and implements the decisions taken by the latter. Only members with the status of real estate company or qualified individual are members of the Board of Directors. Members with corresponding member status do not participate in governance.
